If this is a sub-committee meeting, what is the name/function of the sub-committee in relationship to the larger Accreditation Implementation Committee? AIC Subcommittee on Professionally Qualified Staff

I. Old Business (review/update of previous discussions and actions):

Information on positions and needs were collected from the following:  Learning Resource Center, CCl/NOC, EMC, Staff Development

II. New Business (plans/deadlines for new initiatives and actions):

Questions that need to be answered are:

1. Should there be a formula?

2. Should our report be tied in to the Strategic Plan?

3. Does staffing goals need to be tied in to the ADP?  Leanne will check with G. Levy. (Leanne reported after her meeting with Gail,  there should be some correlation.)

Betsy will check theAIC website for ideas on how to organize our section.  She will try to have something written up to review before the next meeting.

Our proposal is:

The College will reinstitute the Computer committee but will call it Technology and Information /Learning Resources Committee.  It will be composed of representatives from across the campus.  The Committee will also include a representative from the Coordinators for IT, EMC, Library, LRC and Staff Development.  The Committee will be charged with formalizing plans for the future of technology and information/learning resources.  The committee will review everything from staffing to resources and draft a Strategic Plan for Technology and Information/Learning Resources.  When planning for any expansion or change, adequate staffing should always be considered.
